Alpha Twin ‘Gaze’ – Review

Up and coming hard rock band Alpha Twin have been prominent members of the Belfast music scene and they have recently released their brand new single ‘Gaze’.

Immediately, listeners are drawn in, layering epic riffs, subsequently with a rhythmic and enticing drumming pattern. Alpha Twin have outdone themselves on this jammed packed new single. 

The looping bass throughout the track adds some grove as the pounding of the drums create a visceral, toe-tapping sound. A chorus filled with powerful vocals and punchy guitar licks is a great antidote to the somewhat repetitive riff-laden verses. You feel like it hasn’t lasted long enough, but the screeching guitar solo brings the listener back to the rock ‘n’ roll track that the band have so delicately laid. 

Taking inspiration from artists such as  Royal Blood, Rage Against The Machine, Queens of the Stone Age. Alpha Twin create an epic song fuelled by heavy-loaded guitars and echoing vocals    

‘Gaze’ is no doubt a heavy hitter but an excellent song nonetheless. Alpha Twin tells and creates a vivid story giving it a personal touch. The guitar riffs hooks and draws you in and without a doubt evoke an emotional response. ‘Gaze’ is an insight into the sheer talent that Alpha Twin has and there is no doubt they will go from strength to strength with future releases.
