Judith Owen Announces New Album “Suit Yourself” for April 2026
Judith Owen will release her new album, “Suit Yourself,” on April 24, 2026, via Twanky Records. The project continues the acclaimed vocalist’s deep exploration of jazz and blues, with Owen again turning lesser-known genre treasures into bold, character-filled performances.
Recorded at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans, the album brings together several sides of Owen’s recent work. It reflects the swagger of “Come On and Get It,” the big-band energy of “Judith Owen Swings Christmas,” the live force of “Comes Alive,” and her own emotionally direct songwriting and arrangements.
“Suit Yourself” features Owen’s band, the Gentlemen Callers, alongside the JO Big Band and several special guests. Davell Crawford appears on “Today I Sing The Blues,” Joe Bonamassa contributes guitar to “Mind Is On Vacation,” and the Tonya Boyd-Cannon Choir joins Owen on the gospel-inflected “Inside Out.”
The album includes interpretations of songs associated with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Nellie Lutcher and Etta James, as well as tracks including “That’s Why I Love My Baby,” “Blue Skies,” “To Your Door,” “Moanin’,” “Spooky” and “Since I Fell For You.” Following the release, Owen will continue bringing the music to audiences in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
