Nathaje Helps Us ‘Heal’ With New Release

You may not have heard of Nathaje yet but you certainly will have soon. Born in Brazil though now based in Switzerland, Nathaje is the 2019 Alanis Morissette, with emotional, heartfelt songs that never stray into sentimental territory, and an voice to match.

Nathaje’s debut album is called ‘Heal’, and given the comforting and life affirming quality of her music, we can certainly see why. This is a truly intimate album that treads the line between confessional and motivational. Several tracks explore emotions, showing the listener that it is ok just to feel things. Others take on a more didactic tone (although never patronising) looking at how people can attempt to turn their life around and live positively and in the moment.

What is particularly refreshing about the record is that Nathaje is not afraid to explore subjects that many still feel uncomfortable talking about: depression, anxiety, divorce and grief, as well as lighter topics such as procrastination and living life to the full. Such intimate music rarely feels this authentic, and ‘Heal’ promises to give you the space for reflection, self-discovery and, ultimately, redemption.
