Taken from the first LGBT album by an openly gay Indian artist – Pragya releases ‘Lingering Wine’
Releasing the first LGBTQIA+ album to come from an openly gay Indian artist, Pragya Pallavi is a name to get to know. Taken from her forthcoming album ‘Queerism’, singer songwriter and musical artist Pragya has just released her single Lingering Wine – a sensual, jazzy homage to same-sex love that has an almost cabaret-esque theatrical grandness.
The video of the track is as groundbreaking as the song itself. With the black and white look providing a striking visual into the dynamics of same sex relationships and the concepts of body positivity and confidence in our own skin shown in abundance, the video takes us through a story of a couple in love that will make your heart melt.

Featuring English and English/Hindi compositions, with collaborations with National Award-winning sound engineer, K.J. Singh, and Indian DJ and “Mother of Electronica” Ma Faiza, ‘Queerism’ promises a merging of multiple genres including EDM, RnB, hip-hop, jazz, alt-rock and of course, a fresh fusion of classical Indian music.
With a lyrical base that delves into the struggles of queer people and the celebration of the decriminalisation of LGBTQIA+ identities in India, Pragya’s debut album Queerism is set to be significant.
