The long-lost genre of electro-synth is making a comeback with Iranian producer, Vispa, who has dropped his retro banger ‘Cosmic Force’ on ears for all the electronic community.
The first thing you’ll think when listening to ‘Cosmic Force’ is that it sounds like something from the 80s, and I’ll agree with you! It’s got that soundtrack/ TV theme sort of vibe that you can imagine accompanying some 80s visuals.
However, it would be unfair to say that Vispa’s music is outdated in this way, as it it clearly isn’t. The talented musician has plied his trade in keyboard skills which he has applied to his unique brand of electronic music, resurrecting an old sound for new audiences.
Inspired by the likes of Jean Michael Jarre, Vangelis and Kitaro, Vispa also takes on a synth-infused orchestral style that adds a whole new level of texture and complexity to ‘Cosmic Force’.
