Christopher Henderson Turns Industrial Metal into Contemporary Fine Art
From a dedicated studio in Kingston upon Hull, contemporary metal artist Christopher Henderson is reshaping the way people view industrial materials. Using stainless steel, aluminium and Corten steel, Henderson creates handcrafted sculptures and wall art designed for modern homes, commercial interiors, hospitality spaces and private collections.
His work is built on more than 25 years of engineering and sheet metal fabrication experience. Techniques such as TIG welding, plasma cutting, mechanical slip rolling and polishing allow him to shape heavy materials into forms that appear fluid, balanced and full of movement. Each piece is then completed with his distinctive etched textures and reflective finishes, allowing the artwork to change visually as light moves across its surface.

His artistic influences also run through his family history, with inspiration coming from an uncle who worked as an abstract oil painter and a father who made bespoke picture frames and sold fine art.
