Our Girl- ‘No Big Deal’

Our Girl, is the other band belonging to Soph Nathan of The Big Moon and they have just release their debut EP ‘Normally’.
‘No Big Deal’ is full of shoegazy guitars that seem to get heavier as the track progresses, yet there are touches of delicateness too that balance it all out.
Despite this, the vocals are soft and almost whispered, providing an eerie contrast to the rest of the song.
Supposedly, a number of songs on the new EP are about emotional distance and this is exhibited clearly within the lyrics of ‘No Big Deal’.
Also, the video is an intriguing one, giving off a sort of vibe akin to Nirvana’s Nevermind album cover with the band submerged under water. Definitely worth a listen.
